Showcase Ireland 2019

Last weekend I exhibited my art prints and greeting cards at the Showcase Ireland trade show at the RDS, Dublin. It was my first year showcasing my work to national and international buyers, and the response has been humbling. I genuinely appreciate all the positive feedback regarding my stand and my work - the consensus from most buyers was that my work is ‘different,’ and they like different. One of my main objectives with my range is to offer distinctive illustrations and stories that are unlike anything else on the shelves. I always think, what’s the point in creating something that already exists? So thank you to all who stopped-by for a chat about my work, and those who placed orders - it means the world to my little business.

Myself and my amazing sister put together my stand in a few hours (we are pros now after all the shows we have attended together!). Most of the furniture is from my studio so there’s a nice visual consistency. I wanted to show how my prints and cards could be displayed if they were in a shop.

I designed plenty of wholesale catalogues to hand-out to potential buyers. I matched the theme to that which I used for my stand - touches of green succulents with pale peach tones.

My greeting cards were a huge hit, and I made sure to display a good range of occasions and subject matter.

My ‘Four Seasons of Dublin Doors’ were displayed on the smaller wall to catch the eyes of buyers walking around the corner.

For the last two days I added larger prints on the top shelves as these prints in particular were proving very popular, and the larger they are, the more impact they have on passers-by. Luckily I had these in my studio from my previous show.
